Neston Ecumenical Singers

Saturday, 25th April saw the first Neston performance of John Rutter’s enchanting ‘Mass for the Children’ at Neston Parish Church.

The performance featured the Chester Music Society Youth Choir as the children’s choir as well as local soprano, Becky Hay and baritone, James Goddard. Following the mass was Vivaldi’s famous ‘Gloria’, with solos from soprano, Becky Hay and contralto, Helena Thomas who also conducts the children’s choir participating in the event.

Accompaniment was provided on the organ by International Concert Organist, Graham Eccles. This concert was part of a local patriotic event in Neston remembering St. George which included a concert at Neston High School earlier on in the day and another concert the previous evening at the Parish Church.

Songs of Praise:

This service will feature favourite hymns and anthems chosen by members of the choir.

Parkgate URC, Neston at 6:30pm

This service will feature hymns and songs in conjunction with the Castle Singers and the local church singing group.

We will be singing  ’Locus Iste’ –  Bruckner  and ‘Ave Verum’ – Elgar and then ‘A Gaelic Blessing’ - Rutter together.
